Wade DVM

Dr. Bryan Wade is originally from Midland, TX. He earned his Bachelor of Science (B.S. degree) in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX in 1998. Dr Wade then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine as well as Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) in 2002. Dr. Wade met his wife while in Stillwater, OK and they moved to Burkburnett, TX in 2002. Dr. Wade and his wife Brooke have 4 children Quinton, Kason, Kelton (Kelby), Kathryn (Kater). Their children play and enjoy sports, while attending school at Wichita Christian School in Wichita Falls. Dr. Wade has worked in Wichita Falls since 2002. In 2011 Dr. Wade moved his practice of veterinary medicine from the corner of Hursh and Jacksboro Hwy. and established A Caring Heart Veterinary Hospital, PLLC. Dr. Wade enjoys his profession very much and provides care to animals with a compassionate heart.

DVM

Dr. Donald Hicks, grew up in Victoria, Texas raising swine and cattle with a local 4-H group. He was inspired to pursue veterinary medicine by his love of caring for his animals throughout his childhood. Dr. Hicks graduated Texas A&M University in May of 2020 and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine as well as a Bachelors in Animal Science. Dr. Hicks and his wife moved here in 2020 where Angela his wife, started her career as a Nuclear Pharmacist. Dr. Hicks has two dogs Jerry and Dave, and a two cats named Kyle and Valarie.

Practice Manager

Christy is originally from Odessa, TX. Mom to three human children, Hailee, Lainey, and Garrett. Christy joined the Caring Heart family in 2017 after many years in retail management. Her passion for animals made her a great addition to our family. If you can’t find her, she is generally somewhere in the clinic loving on an animal. Outside of work, she can be found at the race track watching her children race, camping with her family, or on the lake somewhere soaking up the sun. In addition to her human children, she has four fur babies at home, Athena, her German Shepperd, and Severus, Draco, and Lily her Siberian Huskies.

Nurse

Harleigh has been with A Caring Heart since 2017. She has two fur babies, Dayton and Ruger. Harleigh used to show dogs with 4h and AKC, and she was a phlebotomist before coming to A Caring Heart. She is currently in school getting her associate’s before transferring to MSU for her bachelor’s, then will be on to OSU for Pre-Vet. Harleigh’s favorite thing to do at A Caring Heart is dentals, surgeries, and blood draws. Outside of work, Harleigh enjoys hanging out with friends and family and any outdoor activity.

Client Care Specialist

Emily has been with A Caring Heart since 2020. She has one fur baby, Darryl. Emily is currently studying to be a Veterinarian Pharmacologist. Emily’s favorite thing to do at A Caring Heart is filling prescriptions and talking to clients. Outside of work, Emily enjoys playing with her dog and hanging out with friends and family. Before coming to A Caring Heart, Emily wanted to be a dolphin trainer or zoo keeper but has decided she is more focused on the medicine part of Veterinary Medicine.

Nurse Assistant

Lindsey has been with A Caring Heart since 2021. Lindsey has four fur babies, Egg, Toast, Snickers, and Kit Kat. Lindsey is unique in that she has heterochromia (two different colored eyes). Lindsey’s favorite thing to do at A Caring Heart is giving all the animals love and pets and meeting animals that also have heterochromia. Outside of work, Lindsey likes to hang out with friends and family, play games on her switch or do arts and crafts.
